I have really been working on being grateful in ALL things… Not just for the BIG things but for little things too. Whenever I start to get frustrated or ungrateful, the Lord will bring to my memory the things He has done for me and the blessings that He has so graciously given to me, especially when I didn’t deserve it.
Not too long ago (this weekend) I was beginning to feel ungrateful for various reasons. But then I remembered something today that made me change my attitude with the quickness!! A while back in September (I believe), I was making a list of the things I needed to get for Rissy. One of the things I had planned to purchase was a baby wipes clutch like the one in the picture below. The previous one had ended up breaking and needed to be replaced. I finished making my list and planned to buy those items that afternoon. About 5 mins later one of my co-workers came to me with the VERY SAME baby wipes clutch I was going to purchase. I was soooo surprised!! She stated that she had picked it up a while back and finally remembered to bring it to school that day for me. I was so amazed at how the Lord provided the very thing I had planned to purchase that afternoon!
Even though the baby wipes clutch seems like a small thing, the way the Lord provided it for me was actually a big thing. It really blessed my heart and reminded me that the Lord cares about the little things and is faithful to provide even when we are not expecting or deserving of it. I was soooo excited about what happened that I took a picture of it and sent it to Henry right away!! We were both so blessed at how the Lord provided for us so quickly and so accurately!!
I am soo grateful that even when I am ungrateful, the Lord continues to be faithful to me. I am thankful that He doesn’t withhold His blessings from me, but uses them as a gentle reminder to be grateful IN ALL THINGS…
As I end this post, I just want to encourage you all to be grateful IN ALL THINGS…The Lord knows all and sees all… He knows your needs before you even know them and is faithful to supply them before you even ask.
Matthew 6:25-27 says it nicely:
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? (Matthew 6:25-27 NIV)
Be encouraged and take hope in the fact that He is faithful and cares about every little thing that concerns you… Even if it is something as small as a baby wipes clutch!
Gr8fully Yours,
Being reminded that He cares about the little things is essentially one of the largest blessings we can give to one another. I am so glad that He used a very simple and every day moment to remind you that there is sacred grace in all our moments. I have to admit, I found your post through the Grace and Truth Link Up and I chose yours because of the way you spell your blog. I use the same concept in my email, so I thought it was fun. 🙂
Blessings!
Dawn
